Overview

    New and improved – Bakuluronic Moisturiser M1 contains our signature blend of actives argan oil, ferulic acid, vitamins C and E, shea butter and hyaluronic acid – now with the added boost of retinol alternative bakuchiol.

  • Our lightweight protective day cream combines the antioxidant power of bakuchiol with hydrating hyaluronic acid, vitamins C and E, and ferulic acid.
  • Bakuchiol is derived from the seeds of the psoralea corylifolia plant, which is native to India and Sri Lanka and has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine.
  • Bakuchiol stimulates the skin’s retinoid receptors which synthesise type-1 collagen and help expedite cell turnover. Though bakuchiol has a similar effect to retinol on the visible signs of photoageing, it functions differently and won’t irritate skin or make it more sensitive to sun exposure.
  • Rice starch naturally absorbs oil to help control shine and minimise pores.
  • Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide that binds moisture in cells to plump and hydrate skin. Glycerin helps protect against water loss.
  • Shea butter soothes and emolliates. Argan oil contains omega fatty acids which help to nourish dry patches and calm troubled skin.
  • Free of parabens, silicones, PEGs, SLS, SLES, and mineral oils. Vegan and cruelty-free. Made in the UK.

Active Ingredients
BAKUCHIOL
Natural and non-irritating alternative to retinol that has a soothing effect on skin. Potent antioxidant that visibly diminishes skin discolouration, appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by targeting free radicals.
RICE (STARCH)
Absorbs sebum to help control shine and minimise pores while increasing skin’s moisture content.
ARGAN OIL
Facetheory uses 100% organic Moroccan argan oil high in beta carotene, squalene, vitamin E, and oleic and other beneficial acids.
FERULIC ACID
This element of Japanese and Korean skincare is sourced from rice bran. A powerful antioxidant that helps stabilise actives and prevents damage caused by free radicals.
HYALURONIC ACID
Protects skin’s water balance and maintains its moisture level, thus aiding absorption of active ingredients and keeping skin soft, supple and hydrated.
SHEA BUTTER
A botanical lipid full of antioxidants, shea butter soothes and emolliates dry areas.
VITAMIN C (SODIUM ASCORBYL PHOSPHATE)
Vitamin C is an essential antioxidant that helps defend skin from free radicals and reduces environmental damage. This product contains sodium ascorbyl phosphate, a stable salt of l-ascorbic acid associated with less sensitivity than its counterparts.
VITAMIN E
Facetheory vitamin E is sourced naturally and contains mixed tocoperols, rather than tocopheryl acetate. It's a naturally occurring component of healthy skin.

Apply a small amount to cleansed face. Massage into skin with upwards circular movements. Bakuchiol doesn’t increase the skin’s sensitivity to sunlight but we recommend you continue to limit your exposure to the sun and wear an SPF day cream.
